The iNSTANT TC lab®* is designed to the internal dimensions of a standard international shipping container so that fully fitted units can be transported quickly to any location in the world. In this way, laboratories with a tissue culture function can be established and be operational within days or a few weeks following arrival at their final destination. All that is required is a supply of running water and mains/generator electricity.
The laboratory comes supplied with all of the necessary laboratory ware, equipment and consumables for several months’ tissue culture work. The advantages of the iNSTANT TC lab® is that it is economical to run, can be re-transported as and when needed and more importantly it acts as a modular unit which can be fitted together with others or simply located adjacent to existing buildings to provide flexible solutions to requirements for micropropagation projects and training .
All too often, development programmes falter due to the time taken to overcome in a synchronous manner the many logistical problems associated with establishing clean tissue culture laboratory facilities in isolated rural areas where they are often needed to support the growth of large community and small farm-related development projects. The iNSTANT TC lab® now addresses very adequately these types of situations.
The iNSTANT TC lab® is an excellent training facility whereby trainees can be taught tissue culture procedures in surroundings identical to their eventual duties making the adaptation of tissue culture sterility demands minimal. NAKHLATEC can provide on site technical advice and technical staff training on any of the crops required for production in an iNSTANT TC Lab®.
